Description

A lot of ISPs out there block the outgoing port 25 in order to fight spam sent from infected machines and malicious users. This can cause issues when a server behind one of such ISPs is trying to send out mail using the mail server as relay.

In order to circumvent this type of protection, it would be necessary to introduce additional SMTP port for these purposes.

The following should be done:

  • Update the mail_server to accommodate an additional SMTP port. Use TCP port 27.
  • Update role reference documentation.
  • Update usage instructions if relevant.
  • Update tests.
