Description

The PHP website role currently lacks ability to override the headers passed-on to FastCGI. Overrides can be helpful in a couple of situations, like dropping the "Accept-Encoding" header to avoid compression of responses from the FastCGI application (so that Nginx can insert the environment indicator into the page).

The following should be done:

  • Update the php_website role.
    • Add parameter for overriding the headers and their values to the role.
    • Implementation should be similar to the existing one in the wsgi_website role.
  • Update role reference documentation.
  • Update usage instructions.
  • Update release notes.
