Description

Whenever changes are being made to tests or test machines are added/removed, there is a chance that due to misconfiguration some tests are missed and not executed on all the required machines.

It would be useful to be able to specify the expected count of tests that should run in a Molecule scenario, and to have pytest (or something else) verify that the expected number of tests have executed.

The following should be done:

  • Implement test in each role that verifies number of executed tests against an expected manually specified value. The value should be stored in the code or file as well.
  • Update development instructions.
  • Update role reference documentation.
  • Update usage instructions.
  • Update release noets.
