Description

At the moment the latest supported version of Debian by Majic Ansible Roles is Debian 11 Bullseye. While still supported by the upstream, the latest stable version available is Debian 12 Bookworm.

It would be necessary to implement full support for Debian 12 Bookworm in order to keep up with the upstream.

The following should be done:

  • Add support for Debian 12 Bookworm to all the roles.
  • Make sure that all tests are updated and passing for both releases.
  • Make sure that test site and usage instructions work with both releases.
  • Update meta specification for each role to include Debian 11 Bullseye in list of platforms.
  • Update role reference documentation.
  • Update usage documentation to default to using Debian 11 Bullseye.
  • Update release notes.
