Description

As a system integrator, I wish I could run a single command with minimal hassle in order to create a CA hierarchy in a local project directory.

I expect the following artifacts:

  • CA private keys.
  • CA certificates.
  • All of that conveniently located within a single sub-directory so that it does not bother me.

While doing so I want to be able to:

  • Default CA hierarchy depth to 1 (just the self-signed root CA certificate).
  • Default CA name to some sane generated default.
  • Provide some sort of custom name for the CA.
  • Provide CA hierarchy depth.
